Cagak.id is an independent nonprofit literary platform operated by Yayasan Cagak Inti Kultura and supported by donations.
The website publishes a wide range of editorial content, including reportage, essays, short stories, sketches, book reviews, and collages. Contributors are welcome to submit their work by email, with every submission reviewed and selected manually by the editorial team. Writers whose work is published receive financial compensation for their contributions.
Sakato Studio took over the project after the previous website no longer met the organization’s expectations and ongoing development support had stopped. We redesigned the website from the ground up, giving Cagak a clearer editorial structure and a visual identity better suited to its literary focus.
The website is built with WordPress and optimized with LiteSpeed Cache and a premium CDN. It currently receives around 2,000 to 3,000 visits per month from readers across different cities in Indonesia.
Because Cagak serves a highly specific literary audience, much of its traffic comes from social media and offline communities rather than broad search demand. Over time, the website has built a recognizable presence among local writers, readers, and literary communities.
